The Senate of the Republic of Mexico recognized his exceptional career with the “Outstanding Contribution to Culture” award

The recording of Mercadant’s opera “Il Proscritto”  in which Ramón Vargas took on the main leading role was awarded The “Opera Awards" Award for Best Complete Opera Recording of 2023.

The 36th edition of the Alfonso Ortiz Tirado Festival 2020, featured the participation of Mexican tenor Ramón Vargas, who received the Alfonso Ortiz Tirado Medal, in addition to offering a concert with the Sonora Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Iván López Reynoso.

The Fourteenth Annual OPERA NEWS Awards went to Ramón Vargas, Rosalind Elias, Laurent Pelly, Ailyn Pérez and Luca Pisaroni.

Received on August 1, 2017, he received the Belcanto Award "Rodolfo Celletti" in the framework of the Festival della Valle d'Itria - Martina Franca, in Italy.
