Ramón Vargas: «Esta pandemia puede acabar con una generación de cantantes»

ABC Seville. He has been Tito, Alfredo, the Duke of Mantua, Count Almaviva or Werther, all heroes of the great operas of history. Ramón Vargas, despite being a lyrical figure, still remembers his beginnings in the children’s choir of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and says it was “a very serious choir”. These days the tenor is Riccardo, the starring role of “Un ballo in maschera”, opera that opens the year at the Teatro de la Maestranza at times that will go down in history: twelve in the morning and three in the afternoon.
